Tampa Woman Stabbed Man to Death, Police Say

The man was arguing with the suspect’s sister, the Tampa Police Department said.

TAMPA – A woman has been charged with murder after a man was stabbed Sunday (April 15) morning during a domestic dispute, the Tampa Police Department said.

Jayvion Parker, 24, died at a hospital of injuries he received during the incident.

Waitecia Howard, 26, was charged with one count of second degree murder (domestic violence). Police said Howard and Mr. Parker live in the same household, although they are not in a relationship.

Police said the incident happened about 3:30 a.m. after a party at a residence on Estelle Street E. After the party, Mr. Parker and Howard’s sister began arguing. During the course of the argument, police said that Howard decided to intercede and armed herself with a knife. She subsequently stabbed Parker in the upper body.

Tampa Police and Tampa Fire Rescue were called to the scene and provided medical attention to Mr. Parker until he was taken to a hospital.
