She has been placed on administrative leave with pay pending an internal investigation, according to the Tampa Police Department.

TAMPA – A Tampa police officer has been placed on administrative leave with pay after she was accused of drunken driving, the Tampa Police Department said.

Amanda Parker was charged Sunday (Dec./17) with misdemeanor DUI. She was stopped and arrested by the Florida Highway Patrol about 1:56 a.m. in Pasco County along the Suncoast Parkway.

Parker has worked for TPD since March 2011. She has no disciplinary history. The case will be investigated by the TPD internal affairs unit. At this time she is on paid administrative leave, which is standard in such cases, according to the department.
