Tampa Police Investigate Night Club Death

He was involved in a fight with another night club patron, Tampa police said.

TAMPA – Police here are investigating the death of a man who died after a fight at a nightspot, according to the Tampa Police Department.

Edward Jerome Taylor, 32, died at Tampa General Hospital of injuries he received in the fight.

Police said Mr. Taylor and a suspect were in the parking lot of Envy Gentleman’s Club, 3447 W Kennedy Blvd., about 3:13 Thursday (Jan. 3) when they became involved in a dispute over missing property from inside the club. The dispute turned physical and Mr. Taylor suffered upper body trauma.

At this time no charges have been filed. Tampa police said they are aware of all the people involved in the incident and have been conducting interviews. The investigation continues.
