Tampa police are asking for information in connection with a shooting death.

TAMPA – Police here are investigating Friday’s (June 16) shooting death of a teenager.

Antwan Tremaine Jenrette, Jr., 18, was taken to Tampa General Hospital where he died of a gunshot wound.

Police said they were called to N 36th Street and E Shadowlawn Avenue about 7:20 p.m. for reports that shots had been fired. When they arrived, officers said they found Mr. Jenrette who was suffering from a gunshot wound. They began first aid and Tampa Fire Rescue took him to Tampa General where he died.
