Tampa Police Charge One with Murder

The arrest came after interviews with eyewitnesses, Tampa police said.

TAMPA – A man has been charged in the shooting death of Antwan Dixon, according to the Tampa Police Department.

O’Brian Kelly, 24, was charged with second degree murder.

Mr. Dixon, 35, was declared dead at Tampa General Hospital on July 20. He was taken to the hospital after he was found with gunshot wounds in the 900 block of E 93rd Avenue.

Police said they found eyewitnesses, one of whom overheard an argument between Kelly and Mr. Dixon and saw Kelly fire a handgun toward Mr. Dixon. Mr. Dixon immediately fell to the ground. Kelly fled the scene in the vehicle he arrived in.
