Tampa Police Accuse Man of Murder in Shooting Death

TAMPA – A man is accused in a shooting that resulted in the death of an apartment resident earlier this week, the Tampa Police Department said.

Alexeis Perez, 20, was charged with first degree murder and armed robbery in connection with the fatal shooting of Antonio Roman, 20.

Police were called to the Tzadik Oaks Apts., E. 1254 113th Ave., about 11:38 p.m. Wednesday (July 26). When they arrived, officers said they found Mr. Roman shot. Mr. Roman was taken to University Community Hospital where he died from his wounds.

The investigation is continuing.
