Tampa Police Accuse Girlfriend in Stabbing Death

Tampa police said she made incriminating statements when questioned.

TAMPA – A woman has been charged in the early Wednesday (Oct. 18) morning stabbing death of her boyfriend, the Tampa Police Department said.

Justin Lee Tyler Williams, 24, died at a hospital where he was taken after the stabbing.

Johnetta D. Shephard, 24, of Tampa, was charged with second-degree murder.

Police said they were called to the scene about 1:30 a.m. When officers arrived, the found Mr. Williams with a life threatening stab wound. He was taken to a hospital where he died.

His girlfriend, Shephard, who lived with Mr. Williams, made incriminating statements while talking with officers. She was arrested and charged later Wednesday morning.
