Tampa Man Accused of Sexual Battery, Police Say

TAMPA – A man has been accused of attacking a woman at the Zen Therapy Spa, the Tampa Police Department said.

Bruce Darnell Wilson, 44, of Tampa, was charged with one count each of armed robbery and armed sexual battery.

The incident happened about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday (Dec. 26). Police said Wilson entered the Zen Therapy Spa, 4610 N Lois Ave., and distracted a woman while she was behind a counter. He then jumped over the county and grabbed her.

Police said the woman believed that Wilson was armed with some kind of knife. He demanded money, then pulled her by the hair into another room where he committed sexual battery.

The woman gave police a detailed description. Police said they positively identified Wilson using surveillance tape and fingerprints from the counter top. Wilson was arrested today (Dec. 27) at his home.
