Tampa Man Accused in Fatal Shooting
He was arrested in Lake City.
TAMPA – A Tampa man was arrested Monday (March 11) in connection with the shooting of two men in the parking lot at City Liquors, according to the Tampa Police Department.
Eric Jayquan Smith, 24, of Tampa, was arrested in Lake City, which is in Columbia County. He will be extradited to Hillsborough County. He is charged with one count each of First Degree Premeditated Murder, Attempted Murder, and Robbery.
The charges arose from the March 6 shooting in the parking lot of the City Liquors, 9403 N Nebraska Ave. A 42-year-old man died and a 40-year-old man was seriously injured in the shooting.
