The crash happened at about 8:36 p.m. Saturday (March 2) at the intersection of S West Shore Boulevard and W Montgomery Avenue in Tampa.

Officers said Schreiber was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee north on S West Shore Boulevard at a high rate of speed when he tried to overtake another vehicle in the left turn lane. The Jeep struck the raised median and several trees and shrubs before crossing over into the southbound lanes where it eventually struck a Toyota Camry head on.

After the crash, the Jeep and Toyota both caught fire and became fully engulfed before being extinguished by Tampa Fire Rescue.
