Tampa Man Accused in Armed Robbery Spree

He was charged in connection with two attempted armed robberies and is a suspect in nine others in St. Petersburg and Tampa.

ST. PETERSBURG – A Tampa man has been arrested in connection with two attempted armed robberies, the St. Petersburg Police Department said.

Ted Benjamin Grossman, 36, of Tampa, was charged with two counts of Attempted Armed Robbery. Police said he is a suspect in nine other armed robbery cases in St. Petersburg and Tampa that have taken place since Friday (March 15). Charges are pending.

Police said Grossman entered the businesses, pointed a gun at the clerks and demanded cash. No shots were fired in any of the cases.
