No deputies or citizens were injured, the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office said.

PASCO COUNTY – A woman and two men were arrested Friday (Feb. 9) after an RV chase during which one of the men rammed a deputy’s cruiser, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.

Ilda Marie Koning, 49, and Neil Michael Adams, 31, both of Port Richey, were each charged with one count of petit retail theft, a misdemeanor. Larry Donaldson, 43, of Surfside Beach, was charged with one count each of aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, vehicle theft/auto, and aggravated fleeing and eluding with injury or property damage. All are felonies.

Deputies said the pursuit began about 9:30 a.m. when a stolen recreational vehicle carrying three people fled from an attempted traffic stop in the Beacon Woods, Hudson area. The three people in the RV were also wanted in connection with a shoplifting call at Walmart.

Koning and Adams bailed out of the RV and were caught. But Donaldson continued driving the stolen RV along U.S. 19.

Deputies said they backed off pursuit using marked vehicles to ensure safety, but kept an eye on it as Donaldson continued fleeing. Several citizens trailed behind the RV.

Donaldson tried to drive the RV onto Bayonet Point Hospital property prompting a sheriff’s sergeant to block the RV with an SUV belonging to the sheriff’s office. Deputies said Donaldson then rammed the RV into the cruiser. The incident caused the rerouting of traffic in the hospital parking lot for a short time but did not affect patients or treatments.

No deputies or citizens were injured. Deputies said they were grateful to those citizens for helping follow the RV, but said they do not encourage civilians to get involved or play an active role in pursuits.
