Suspect in Ruskin Murders Captured in Kentucky

He is the second person to be arrested in connection with the double homicide.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – A suspect in a Jan. 24 Ruskin double murder has been arrested in Kentucky, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.

McKinsie Alexander Lyons, 39, will be extradited from Kentucky to Hillsborough County to face charges related to the murders of Juanita Donna Solorzando, 33, who was pregnant, and Alexis Martinez, 24. (See related story.)  They had been shot to death.

Lyons was charged with two counts of first degree murder, murder of an unborn child, burglary of a dwelling with assault or battery, and felon in possession of a firearm.

Lyons is the second person to be charged in the double homicide.

Samona Louise Ramey, 32, of Wimauma, was arrested in January and charged with two counts of first degree felony murder with firearm-discharge, possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug without prescription, and introduction of contraband into a detention facility.
