St. Petersburg Police Investigate Double Homicide

The two were found in a car early Thursday morning. Both had been shot.

ST. PETERSBURG -Police here are investigating the shooting deaths of two people early Thursday (June 8) morning.

Ashland Cleve Jarrett, 45, of Bradenton, died at the scene. The car’s driver, Jacqueline Yvette Green, 48, of St. Petersburg, died at Bayfront Health where she was taken after police found them.

St. Petersburg police said they were called to a residence on 22nd Street S about 1:47 a.m. after receiving reports that shots had been fired in the area. When they arrived, they discovered Ms. Green and Mr. Jarrett in a 2017 Toyota RAV4. Both had been shot.

Officers said they began first aid, but were unable to save Mr. Jarrett.
