St. Petersburg Police Charge Man with Murder

Police said the man turned himself in.

ST. PETERSBURG – A St. Petersburg man who was wanted for murder turned himself in  Saturday (July 23) morning, police said.

Taurus Randall Frederick, 38, of 660 14th Ave. S, was charged with first degree murder and leaving the scene of a crash involving a death, according to Pinellas County Jail records.

The charges arose out of a June 20 incident when, police said Frederick argued with Jeron Anthony Davis. Police said Frederick followed Mr. Davis in a car and ran over him.

Mr. Davis died at the scene. Frederick got out of the car and ran away on foot, officers said.
