He shot another man to death, according to the St. Petersburg Police Department.

ST. PETERSBURG – A man has been accused of shooting and killing another man, the St. Petersburg Police Deparment said.

Denzel, Tarver, 26, is charged with one count of second degree murder in connection with the killing of Timothy Karl Davis, 34. Mr. Davis died Monday (May 15).

Police said they were called to the intersection of 11th Avenue and 23rd Street S about 6:36 p.m. Monday (May 15) after receiving reports of gunfire.

Officers said they arrived about 90 seconds after receiving the call to find Mr. Davis wounded. Police gave him CPR until paramedics arrived but were unable to save him and Mr. Davis died of the gunshot wounds.

The next day, police got a warrant for Tarver’s arrest. They arrested him Saturday (May 20).
