St. Petersburg Man Charged in Hit and Run
The October crash critically injured a bicyclist.
ST. PETERSBURG – A St. Petersburg man has been charged in connection with a hit-and-run crash that critically injured a bicyclist, the St. Petersburg Police Department said.
Quinn Daniel Hessinger, 28, of St. Petersburg, was charged with one count each of leaving the scene of a serious bodily injury crash, operating an unregistered vehicle, and providing false
information during a crash investigation. Hessinger was arrested Sunday (March 4).
Hessinger’s arrest was in connection with an Oct. 14 crash that critically injured bicyclist Connor James Bolton, 23. (Click here for related story.)
Bolton was hit by an SUV while riding in the 4200 block of First Avenue N. The driver fled. Police located the vehicle and said that DNA evidence connected Hessinger to the crash.They were able to arrest Hessinger when they were tipped off about his location.
