ST. PETERSBURG – A deputy and a St. Petersburg man were injured in a traffic crash early this morning (Jan. 23), according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy Shawn Livernois, 31, and Derrick L. Taylor, 34, of St. Petersburg, were taken to a hospital with minor injuries. Taylor failed to stop at a stop sign located at the intersection of 37th Street South and 11th Avenue South and crashed into Deputy Livernois’ vehicle.
