Five were charged as a result of the bust.

ST. PETERSBURG – Four men and a woman were arrested Monday (Jan. 29) after officers found methamphetamine and other illegal drugs in the home, the St. Petersburg Police Department said.

Matthew Chappell, 27, of St. Petersburg; Jason Yucha, 33; Jaime Patton, 31; and Ronald Mount, 46, were each charged with one count of trafficking in methamphetamine. Sierra Carlson, 25, was charged with one count each of trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of hydromorphone.

Chappell was dropped off at St. Petersburg General Hospital about 10:45 a.m. Monday with a gunshot wound to his foot. Officers said they learned that he accidentally shot himself at his home on Sixth Avenue N. at 4742 6 Ave. N. Police said officers had received numerous complaints about illegal activity occurring at the house, and the house was already under investigation.

Officers executed a search warrant at the house, and found 91.7 grams of methamphetamine (trafficking amount), as well as hydromorphone and marijuana.
