Two Shot in St. Petersburg

The shooting does not appear to be random, according to the St. Petersburg Police Department.

ST. PETERSBURG – Two men are recovering after being shot Tuesday (July 25), the St. Petersburg Police Department said.

Eric Blue, 44, and Weston Coleman, 51, are expected to survive.

Police said the shooting happened at 4656 14th Ave S. Officers were called to 4656 11th Ave. S about 4:40 p.m. When officers arrived, they learned that Blue had been shot at the 14th Street address but had gone to 11th Avenue to call for help. Blue was taken to the hospital. Coleman took himself to the hospital where he underwent surgery.

Police said they are investigating the shooting.
