Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of the person who shot Cupcake the dog.

PLANT CITY – Officials are seeking the person who shot a dog that was found lying in a Plant City ditch.

The dog was found about 7:30 p.m. Sunday (Nov. 25) lying in a ditch in the 700 block of Colson Road by an off-duty deputy. The dog was injured and it was believed she had been hit by a car.

The dog was taken to the Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center for an examination by veterinarian staff. X-rays revealed that she had been shot in the leg. The dog has been named Cupcake because of her sweet demeanor.

Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the unknown suspect(s) involved in this case. Anyone with any information regarding the
identity of the suspect(s) and who wants to be eligible for a cash reward is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477), report anonymously online at crimestopperstb.com, or send a mobile tip using the P3 Tips Mobile application. Crime Stoppers must be contacted first in order to be eligible for a cash reward.
