Sexual Predator Exposed Himself to Children, Police Say
Pinellas Park police said the man is a registered sexually violent predator with multiple criminal arrests/convictions for sexual violence against children dating back to 1986.
PINELLAS PARK – A Clearwater man was arrested after he exposed himself to three girls who were walking down a sidewalk, according to the Pinellas Park Police Department.
Edward Albert Boelsche, 89, of Clearwater, was charged with one count of Lewd & Lascivious Exhibition. He remains in jail with a $50,000 bond. Police said he is a sexually violent predator with multiple criminal arrests/convictions for sexual violence against children dating back to 1986. Boelsche was on probation until April 28, 2017.
Boelsche, who was visiting his son, was sitting outside in a wheelchair about 25 feet from the roadway when three girls, all younger than 15 walked by. Boelsche called out “hi,” to the three to get their attention.
The girls turned to him and one of them saw that he had his penis in his hand and was masturbating. The other two girls could not see what was happening, according to the arrest affidavit. When Boelsche started to move towards the girls, the three ran away.
As they ran away, he pulled up his pants, but continued to rub his groin area. The girls fled to a nearby home and told a parent.
Police said the adult, who also saw Boelsche masturbating, called officers.
