Seminole Resident Accused in Murder of Homeless Man

Witnesses say the two were fighting behind a McDonald’s in the unincorporated Clearwater area.

PINELLAS COUNTY – A Seminole man has been arrested and charged in connection with the killing earlier this month of a homeless man, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said.

Timothy J. Knott, 33, of Seminole, was charged with one count of Second Degree Murder in the death of Jesse Brian Waller, 36. Mr. Waller died Thursday (Jan. 9) at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg.

Deputies said they were called to the McDonald’s at 3470 Ulmerton Road in the unincorporated Clearwater area about 5:26 p.m.Thursday after receiving multiple 9-1-1 calls about an altercation between two men behind the restaurant.

When deputies arrived they found Mr. Waller with serious upper body trauma. He was taken to Bayfront where he later died.
