Seminole Man Accused of Attempted Bank Robbery
He tried to rob a Seminole bank and was arrested in Hillsborough County, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said.
PINELLAS COUNTY – A man who admitted that he tried to rob a Seminole bank has been arrested in Hillsborough County, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.
Jason P. Kendall, 35, of Seminole was arrested by Hillsborough County sheriff’s deputies on three outstanding warrants from Pinellas County: one count grand theft, one count petit theft, and one count issuing a worthless check. Kendall was taken to the Hillsborough County Jail after his arrest. He will be extradited to Pinellas County, where he will also be charged with one count of attempted robbery.
Deputies said Kendall admitted that he tried to rob the BB&T Bank, 7600 Seminole Blvd. in Seminole, at about 4 p.m. Wednesday (Sept. 20).
The would-be robber had approached the bank teller, implied he had a gun and demanded cash. Deputies said he left the bank without getting any money.
Deputies said they identified the man as Kendall and located him at the Comfort Suites Hotel, 4506 Oak Fair Blvd. in Tampa.
