Seffner Man Accused of Abusing 4-Year-Old Girl

Allen Michael Stanford | Hillsborough Sheriff | Arrests

The child had “significant and visible injuries to her entire body,” Hillsborough deputies said.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – A Seffner man has been arrested in connection with the physical abuse of his live-in girlfriend’s 4-year-old daughter, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.

Allen Michael Stanford, 28, of Seffner, was charged with three counts of Child Abuse with Great Bodily Harm and one count of Child Neglect with Great Bodily Harm. Stanford is not the child’s father.

Deputies said the couple took the child to the Brandon Regional Hospital Emergency for treatment of significant and visible injuries to her entire body. They claimed the wounds were self-inflicted.

An investigation by HCSO detectives determined the injuries were consistent with a pattern of physical abuse over time. Deputies said the child’s injuries are non-life threatening.

The child protective investigations division removed the child from the home and she remains in protective custody.
