Thomas N. Pham, 55, of Safety Harbor, was charged with one count of sexual battery (familial authority).

Deputies said the girl was in Pham’s care Friday (April 13) when he engaged her in inappropriate sexual activity. Later that same evening, the girl flagged down a Tarpon Springs police
officer and disclosed the details of the incident. Deputies took over the investigation because the incident happened in the Sheriff’s Office jurisdiction.

Sheriff’s detectives determined that the incident took place. They also interviewed Pham at the Sheriff’s North District Station in Dunedin. They said Pham made several admissions to having inappropriate sexual contact with the girl.
