The arrest came after a computer memory card containing more than 1,000 images of child pornography was found, Hillsborough sheriff’s deputies said.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – A registered sex offender has been charged with 100 counts of possessing child pornography after deputies tied him to a computer memory card that contained more than 1,000 images of child pornography, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.

Charles Burns, 33, of Thonotosassa, was charged with 100 counts of possession of child pornography 10 or more.

Burns is a repeat offender, deputies said. He was arrested by the sheriff’s office last year and charged with failure of sex offender to report biannual.

Details about the latest arrest are limited.

Hillborough sheriff’s deputies said and SD card containing more than 1,000 images of child pornography was found at the Seffner Coin Laundry, 787 Dr. King Blvd. W in Seffner. Through “intense investigative work,” deputies said they connected Burns to the card.
