Clearwater police officers are going one better than the popular Coffee with a Cop events, they’re offering pizza with a cop tonight (Nov. 10).

CLEARWATER – It’s time for a different version of Coffee with a Cop, the community event that fosters better communication between police officers and the residents they serve.

The Clearwater Police Department is planning its first-ever Pizza With A Cop event from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today (Nov. 10) at the MLK Center, 1201 Douglas Ave.

Residents can stop by and receive a free slice or two of pizza and chat with police officers about any community concerns they may have. Or they can use it just as an opportunity to get to know the officers who work for the Clearwater police.

It’s a spinoff of prior Coffee With A Cop events that have been held at local McDonald’s restaurants in the past. This event being in the evening should allow those who work during the day to attend.

Pizza for the event is being provided by Papa John’s, Domino’s, Marco’s and Rizzoli’s. Walmart has provided drinks and snacks for the evening.
