Elderly Woman Injured When Car Crashes into Pinellas Park House

The 90-year-old woman has a serious leg injury, Pinellas Park police said.

PINELLAS PARK – A 90-year-old woman was injured Monday (Sept. 26) when a car crashed into her home in the Mainlands, according to Pinellas Park police.

Veronica Ritter, 90, was taken to the hospital with a serious leg injury. The driver, Wladyslawa Grabowich, 78, of Pinellas Park, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The crash happened about 10:10 a.m. when Grabowich swerved the 1995 Mercury she was driving to avoid an unknown vehicle that made a right turn in front of her car. Grabowich crashed into the house at 3676 100th Place N, injuring Ritter, who was sitting on the other side of the wall that the Mercury hit. Police are continuing to investigate but say no charges are expected against Grabowich.
