One man was found lying in the road, Plant City police said.

PLANT CITY – Police here are investigating the death of a man who was found lying in a road Saturday (July 2) night.

Plant City police said they received a call about 9:47 p.m. Saturday (July 2) that a man who was bleeding was lying in the roadway in the 1600 block of E Warren Street. When police arrived, they found the man had “upper body trauma,” which caused him to die at the scene.

At about 9:56 p.m., police said they received another call from a man in the area who said he had been shot. The man was taken to a hospital with at least one wound to the abdomen. His condition is unknown.
