Plant City High Student Had Gun on Campus, Deputies Say

He was fighting with another student after class, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.

PLANT CITY – A high school student has been accused of having a loaded Glock pistol in his backpack, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.

Lamaryea Glover, 15. was arrested Tuesday (Jan. 16) and charged with one count each of possession of a firearm on school property, a felony; and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies said Glover was fighting another student after Plant City High School let out when a Hillsborough County sheriff’s school resource deputy and school personnel arrived to break up the fight. He tried to run away but was later caught. He was arrested and charged after school officials performed an administrative search of his back pack and discovered a Glock Model 22 with 11 bullets and scales.
