Pinellas School Bus Driver Accused of Having Sex with Student

The incident happened on the school bus, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.

PINELLAS COUNTY – A relief school bus driving has admitted having sex with a high school student, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said.

Dondre M. Davis, 24, of 4301 28th St. N, Unit #112, St. Petersburg, was arrested Friday (Oct. 28) and charged with one count of unlawful sexual activity with certain minors, deputies said.

The investigation began Friday after a Lealman Intermediate student reported the incident to school staff. Deputies said the victim, 16, told them that she had inappropriate sexual activity with Davis, who was her bus driver.

Deputies said Davis first approached the girl a week before when he gave her a paper with his Facebook chat ID as she was getting off the bus. Davis and the victim started communicating on social
media where Davis flirted with the victim. About 7 a.m. Thursday (Oct. 27),  Davis drove the girl on the school bus to an undisclosed location off school campus and had inappropriate sexual activity with the teen.

Deputies interviewed Davis on Friday at the Pinellas County Jail. They said he admitted to having inappropriate sexual activity with the student.
