A man’s body was found by a trash container at the Shoppes at Park Place, according to the Pinellas Park police.

PINELLAS PARK – Police here say they are investigating the murder of a homeless man.

Will Joe Hodges, 38, formerly of St. Petersburg, apparently died of homicide caused by blunt force trauma, according to the Pinellas Park police.

Pinellas Park police were called to the area behind the Office Depot, 7310 U.S. 19 N  in the Shoppes at Park Place, about 6:15 p.m. Saturday (Nov. 19). Two people who had been collecting cardboard from the trash containers found a dead man lying on the ground next to a container.

As of early this morning (Nov. 20), police were still working to determine how the victim was killed and who was responsible for it. No further information was available early this morning.
