Officers received a tip that he was actively downloading child pornography, the Pinellas Park Police Department said.

PINELLAS PARK – Police here have accused a man of downloading child pornography from the internet.

Ameeyid Taiourane, 29, is charged with three counts of possession of child pornography. The investigation continues and additional similar charges are expected, Pinellas Park police said.

Detectives with the Pinellas Park Police Department said they executed a search warrant Friday (Aug. 17) at an address on 98th Avenue N to conduct a search for child pornography at the residence and to identify the possible suspect. The department is an active law enforcement member of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, and as a result, investigators received information about a subject at the listed location who was actively downloading child pornography.

Taiourane was located inside the residence after the warrant was served, police said. Officers found child-related pornographic images inside the residence.
