Don’t Drink and Drive in Pinellas Tonight – The Wolf Pack Will Be Out in Force

The Pinellas County sheriff and eight other policing agencies will have a countywide wolf pack out tonight (May 27) looking for drunk drivers.

PINELLAS COUNTY – Pinellas sheriff’s deputies will join with the Tarpon Springs, Clearwater, Indian Shores, Kenneth City, Gulfport and St. Petersburg police departments; and the Florida Highway Patrol and G4S Prisoner Transportation tonight (May 27) for a wolf pack operation targeting drunk drivers.

The wolf pack will be cruising from 7 p.m. tonight through 5 a.m. Saturday (May 28).

DUI Checkpoint | Pinellas County Sheriff | Pinellas PoliceThis operation is part of the Pinellas County sheriff’s ongoing commitment to reduce deaths, injuries, and property damage associated with traffic crashes related to impaired driving. The goal of the wolf pack is to educate people and create public awareness about the dangers of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and any chemical or controlled substances.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (M.A.D.D.), Remove Intoxicated Drivers USA Inc. (RID), and the Suncoast Safety Council will be supporting law enforcement during the operation.
