Pickup Truck Passenger Dies in Hernando Crash

The driver has been charged with multiple offenses, the Florida Highway Patrol says.

HERNANDO COUNTY – A Holiday man died Tuesday (Aug. 30) while a passenger in a pickup truck that hit a parked truck, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

William Joseph Hull, 48, of Holiday, died at the scene. The driver, Paul Thomas Frazier, 51, also of Holiday, was taken to Bayonet Point Hospital with serious injuries. He has been charged with DUI manslaughter, vehicular homicide, driving while license suspended/death, and expired tag more than six months, the FHP said.

The crash happened about 9 a.m. Frazier was driving a 1995 Ford F150 southbound on U.S. 19 south of Winward Street. Troopers said he lost control of the pickup, which left the roadway and collided with a parked 2004 Isuzu truck. Mr. Hull died at the scene. Frazier was taken to Bayonet Point and later arrested.
