Pasco Student Accused of Pellet Gun Shootings

He was shooting at people from a vehicle, the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office said.

NEW PORT RICHEY – A J.W. Mitchell High School student has been arrested in connection with the firing of a pellet gun and injuring of several people in separate incidents, the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office said.

Logan Anthony Bruno, 17, of New Port Richey, has been charged with three counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon for three separate incidents. He used a gas-powered pistol that fired BB pellets. There may be additional criminal mischief charges as it is believed he also fired at property such as parked vehicles..Deputies said the New Port Richey Police also have several cases involving the teen.

Deputies said Bruno was traveling in a vehicle Sunday (Sept. 2) evening while shooting at people.

In one case, a person at Trouble Creek and Cecelia was struck in the lower rib cage. A person on Dhalia Avenue was injured in the left forearm. A person on Madison Avenue was wounded in the lower right abdomen. In all cases, those hit suffered cuts and bleeding.
