Pasco Sheriff Accuses Middle School Student of Making False Bomb Threat
The sheriff believes there is no threat to the school.
PASCO COUNTY – An eighth grader was arrested Monday after Pasco sheriff’s deputies accused him of making a false bomb threat on his Instagram account.
Isaiah Wells, 14, was charged with making a false report about planting a bomb at Pine View Middle School in Land O Lakes, a second degree felony, according to sheriff’s records. He is an eighth grader at Pine View. He has also been trespassed from the school pending an expulsion hearing.
Deputies said the threat was discovered on Wells’ Instagram account under the account name “zaywellss.” The threat suggested a bomb threat would happen Tuesday “at 9:45 when that bell ring.” Deputies said they have determined this to be a false threat and there is no danger to the school or students. According to deputies, Wells said he thought the stunt would be “funny” but had no intention of acting on his threat.
