The Hudson man also cut the owner with a knife, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.
PASCO COUNTY – Deputies are searching for a man who crashed into a motorcycle shop and stabbed the owner, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said they are searching for William Engle, 26, of 6702 Canal St. in Hudson. They said Engle met with his ex-girlfriend at the 7-11 convenience store at County Line Road and U. S. 19 for a child custody issue. Engle’s boss, the owner of Action Honda, was there to ensure nothing happened. Engle is a known drug user and can be violent, deputies said.
An argument ensued and, deputies said, Engle attempted to cut his ex-girlfriend’s tires with a knife. The boss intervened and was cut by Engle on the hand and across the stomach. The cuts are minor injuries and he refused medical attention.
Engle left and went to Action Honda, 15628 U.S. 19, Hudson, where his car was parked. Deputies said he used his car to ram both glass showroom doors of the business causing damage in excess of $75,000. Engle then fled on a white Honda motorcycle and is currently at large.
Anyone who knows where Engle can be found should call 911, deputies said. To leave an anonymous tip, contact the Pasco Sheriff’s Office Crime Tips Line at 1-800-706-2488. To be eligible for up to a $3,000 reward, contact Tampa Bay CrimeStoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477).
