A driver deliberately ran over a pedestrian, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff.

GIBSONTON – A Gibsonton woman intentionally ran down a pedestrian after the two had an argument over parking, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

Sasha Mendoza, 27, of Gibsonton, was charged with one count each of attempted murder in the second degree and operating a motor vehicle without a valid license. Deputies said she ran down Kristina Blair, 38, of Gibsonton. Blair was seriously injured but is in stable condition.

The incident happened about 3:40 a.m. Tuesday (July 11). Deputies said Mendoza and Blair got into an argument about parking concerns near a residence on Fish Hook Place in Gibsonton.  Blair left the scene in a green Isuzu Rodeo. Mendoza and a passenger got into a silver Toyota Corolla and drove south on Fish Hook Place behind Blair.

Blair stopped, got out of the Isuzu and went over to the Toyota. Mendoza remained in her car as another argument took place. Deputies said Mendoza then drove her vehicle at Blair and accelerated, purposely running over Blair.

Mendoza fled the scene, deputies said. Deputies found and arrested her.
