Michael Douglas Ludwig | Largo Police | Arrests

He told a police officer, who was posing as a 14-year-old girl, that he wanted to rape the teen, the Largo Police Department said.

LARGO – A man is accused of threatening to rape a 14-year-old girl, according to the Largo Police Department.

Michael Douglas Ludwig, 24, was charged with four counts  of use of a computer to seduce, solicit, lure, or entice a child; and one count each of traveling to meet a minor, unlawful use of a two-way communication device, and transmission of harmful material to a minor. He might also be charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance depending on the outcome of lab testing.

Largo police Detective Lance Moore began his investigation early this month. Ludwig had made multiple posts on a social media networking site soliciting sexual contact from school-aged girls. The posts specifically depicted his desire to engage in a “rape fantasy with young schoolgirls,” officers said.

Moore answered the post, posing as a 14-year-old girl. As the conversation continued, Ludwig became more aggressive and agitated. He became threatening and directed the “teen” to sneak out of her house, stating, “You’re going to sneak out later tonight, do you hear me little b****?”  Police said Ludwig also texted, “You should listen to me, b****…. I’m going to rape you.”

During the weeks of sporadic online communication, police said, Ludwig sent naked and clothed pictures of himself to Moore. On Wednesday (Aug. 23),  Ludwig arrived at a residential location in Largo intending to having sex with or rape the “minor child.”

Ludwig was arrested and confessed, police said.
