Jon Flower | Pinellas Sheriff | Crime

He recorded her using a cell phone through a crack in a door, Pinellas sheriff’s deputies said.

PINELLAS COUNTY – A man is charged with video recording a 16-year-old girl without her knowledge while she was in the shower, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.

Jon Flower, 38, who lives in the unincorporated Clearwater area, was charged today (May 12) with one count of video voyeurism.

Deputies said they began investigating the incident Wednesday (May 10) after the mother of the 16-year-old girl called the Sheriff’s Office to report what happened on March 31. Deputies said that, about 5:30 a.m., the teen was taking a shower at Flower’s residence when she saw Flower secretly video recording her through a crack in the door with his cell phone. The girl screamed for help and her mother confronted Flower.

The mother recovered a video from Flower’s phone of the girl unclothed in the shower. She and the girl also left the home immediately after the incident. The teen and her mother had been living with Flower, who was the mother’s live-in boyfriend. Although the mother immediately took the teen from the home she waited several weeks to notify deputies. During the investigation, deputies said the teen told them that she caught Flower video recording her in the shower once in 2016. That incident was not reported to deputies.
