Man Suspected in Tarpon Springs Triple Murder Arrives in Pinellas

PINELLAS COUNTY – The man suspected of killing his wife’s parents and brother arrived is in custody in the Pinellas County Jail.

Shelby John Nealy, aka Shelby Svenson, 25, was extradited from Lakewood, Ohio, where he was in custody. He is charged with three counts each of First Degree Murder and Aggravated Animal Cruelty and one count of Grand Theft of a Motor  Vehicle.

The charges arise from the murders of Richard Louis Ivancic, 71; his wife, Laura Ann Ivancic, 59; and their son, Nicholas James Ivancic, 25, who, with  three dogs, were found dead in their Tarpon Springs home on New Year’s Day. Their bodies were in advanced stages of decomposition, Tarpon Springs police said at the time. (Click here for a related story.)

He has since been charged with first degree murder in connection with the death of his wife, Jamie Nicole Ivancic, 21, whose body was found buried in the back yard of a Pasco home the couple had once rented.

He was arrested on the Pasco warrant in the Pinellas jail where he has been since being charged in the deaths of the Ivancics, who were the parents and brother of Nealy’s wife.
