Man Arrested After Tampa Shooting

A father and son were wounded in the shooting, according to the Tampa Police Department.

TAMPA – A Tampa man is in custody after a shooting that left a father and son wounded, the Tampa Police Department said.

David Lawrence Bowles, 67, and his son, Adam Lawrence Bowles, 32, both of Tampa, were taken to Tampa General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police charged Jonathan Lacroix, 39, also of Tampa, was charged with two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and one count of carrying a concealed firearm.

All three men lived in the same home on W Price Avenue, officers said.

Police were called to the W Price Avenue home about 6:37 p.m. Tuesday (June 12) for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found David Bowles with a gunshot wound to the chest. His son, Adam Bowles, suffered two gunshot wounds to the leg.

The Bowles told officers that Lacroix was the shooter.Officers found and arrested Lacroix at the Popeye’s restaurant, 5156 S Dale Mabry Highway. Police said he had a handgun with him when he was taken into custody.

Lacroix refused to speak with investigators. Both the Bowles said the shooting was unprovoked.
