Second Man Accused in Attempted Murder

The two are accused in a November shooting that left a man with a spinal cord injury, St. Petersburg police said.

ST. PETERSBURG – A second man has been arrested in connection with a November shooting that injured another man’s spinal cord, the St. Petersburg Police Department said.

Sean Aundre Flournoy, 19, of St. Petersburg, turned himself in Monday (Jan. 7). He is charged with one count of Attempted Felony Murder.

He is the second man to be arrested in connection with the Nov. 16 shooting of Ethan Murphy, 18. Marquis Scott, 19, of St. Petersburg was arrested Dec. 20 and charged with one count each of Attempted Felony Murder and Driving with a Suspended/Revoked License.

Police said that, on Nov. 16, Flournoy gave Murphy a ride in exchange for marijuana. After arriving at the destination, Flournoy and others in the car tried to rob Murphy. Flournoy shot him once and Scott pushed him out of the car.
