Lealman Woman Shot Boyfriend, Pinellas Deputies Say
She and her boyfriend argued about cell phone usage and his suspected infidelity, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.
LEALMAN – Pinellas deputies have arrested a woman they say shot her boyfriend during an argument.
Antonie McElroy, 39, was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg with serious but not life-threatening injuries, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said.
Erika Alisha Harvey, 26, of the unincorporated Lealman area, was charged with one count of aggravated battery, deadly weapon-domestic related.
Deputies said they were called to the 28th Street N residence about 11:54 a.m. Monday (April 10). When they arrived, they found Harvey standing in the doorway and McElroy lying on the floor inside the apartment suffering from a gunshot wound to his mid-section. Deputies said Harvey admitted shooting her live-in boyfriend McElroy after a verbal argument over cellphone usage and the suspicion of cheating. Deputies said they found the 9mm Smith & Wesson handgun involved in the shooting, inside the residence.
