Largo Man Faces Charge of Attempted Murder

Largo police said he confessed to a stabbing.

LARGO – A Largo man was arrested Friday (June 1) in connection with a stabbing at a Sunoco station, the Largo Police Department said.

Ryan Danieal Forss, 19, of Largo, was charged with one count each of attempted second degree murder and tampering with physical evidence.

Police said they were called to the Sunoco station, 1403 Clearwater Largo Road, for a report of a stabbing. When officers arrived, they said, the found a critically injured victim who was sent to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg.

A police officer and his canine partner began tracking the suspects while other officers checked the store’s video surveillance system. One officer stopped at a “problem house” on Beverly Avenue and showed the residents a digital photo of one suspect. They pointed the officer to another house on Beverly where Forss was found.

Police said Forss confessed to the stabbing.

Police said they found the weapon and a second suspect has been identified.
