LARGO – Police here have charged two men, in unrelated cases, with possession and distribution of child pornography.

Alexander Kyle McCuen, 30, was charged with eight counts of possession of child pornography and two counts of distribution of child pornography. Cameron Alastair MacDonald, 28, was charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography and one count of distribution of child pornography. Both live in Largo.

The Largo Police Department issued a search warrant on Jan. 10 on McCuen’s home. He was charged after admitting to possessing and distributing child pornography. Police said mor charges are pending. Officers said they also discovered a small safe in McCuen’s bedroom that contained used and unused children’s clothing.

Police began investigating MacDonald after receiving a cyber-tip that an e-mail registered to him had a Dropbox account containing illicit images. Police said they interviewed MacDonald at work Jan. 5. They said MacDonald admitted using cloud storage to store files of child pornography. He also admitted sharing the Dropbox links of child pornography to other users.

MacDonald told officers he had viewed at least 1,000 images of child pornography in the past six to eight years. Additional videos and files of child pornography were found on MacDonald’s cell phone. The examination of his cell phone also revealed thousands of images and videos of local girls playing volleyball, and pictures from their social media sites, police said.
