Juvenile Wounded in Spring Hill Shooting

The wound was not life threatening, according to the Hernando sheriff.

SPRING HILL – The Hernando Sheriff’s Office is seeking information about a shooting that injured a juvenile Monday (July 17) evening.

Deputies said they found out about the shooting about 7:20 p.m. when someone from Oak Hill Hospital notified them that a male juvenile had arrived in the emergency department suffering from a gunshot wound. Deputies immediately went to the hospital and were told the wound was not life threatening. The name and age of the juvenile have not been released.

According to what the boy told deputies, the shooting took place “somewhere in Spring Hill.” Deputies have yet to verify the actual location where it happened.
