The argument between roommates was over nude pictures a girlfriend sent to one of the men, Pasco deputies said.

HOLIDAY – A Holiday man was arrested Christmas day after he stabbed his roommate numerous times during an argument over nude pictures his girlfriend had sent him, the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office said.

Donavon Foster, 30, of Holiday, was charged with one count of attempted murder/homicide.

Foster had been living with William Melton for about three days when the argument happened. Deputies said Melton told them that Foster’s girlfriend had sent him nude pictures of her that Foster had shown to Melton.

Foster was on the phone with the girlfriend when Melton told her he had seen the photos. When Foster hung up, he went to his bedroom, returned with two folding knives, and began “slashing” at  Melton. The two fell onto the floor.

Deputies said, as Foster slashed at Melton, he said, “B—h, f–k you, you are going to die today.” Melton fought back by punching Foster in the face and grabbing the knife. Foster then punched Melton several times.

After the initial attack, deputies said, Foster told Melton to get a towel at which point Melton called 9-1-1. Foster then ordered Melton to get on the couch and again began punching and stabbing him.

Foster called his girlfriend and told her what happened. The girlfriend convinced Foster to take Melton to the hospital.

Melton had about seven stab wounds as well as additional cuts on his neck, arms and hands. He also suffered a broken nose.

Deputies said Foster told them he and Melton had been involved in a fight at a bar and that, when they got home, Melton had become belligerant and said something “sarcastic” about a private part of the girlfriend’s anatomy while he was on the phone with her.

According to deputies, Foster also told them that Melton “beat the s–t out of him” and punched him multiple times with a closed fist after he confronted him about the rude remark. Foster said he only cut Melton on the arms.

Deputies said Foster had superficial injuries to his arms and no injuries to his face. He was also unable to explain how Melton got the numerous stab wounds.
